The Nebesa National Nature Reserve protects a number of unique habitats located on the left bank of the Ohře River. The largest apartment in the residence, also named Nebesa, is equally unique—as soon as you climb the private staircase and open the apartment’s front door, you’ll be amazed by the view of the landscape framed by a large window. The character of this apartment, which faces three directions, is complemented by a fireplace that warms your evenings with a cozy atmosphere. The comfortable, cleverly appointed space offers a nature-focused interior for both temporary and permanent living. The name of the river, which winds its way through Czech territory for 266 km, is likely derived from the Celtic name Agara (Ag means “salmon,” and Ara means “swift, fast-flowing water”). The meaning of the Celtic name is sometimes interpreted as “moon river.” The southwest-facing apartment provides a comfortable space for peaceful relaxation and active outdoor activities.

This valley is one of only four locations in Europe where Aesculapian snakes are found. Meluzína
Meluzína, the most beautiful and wildest peak in the central part of the Krušné Mountains, offers stunning 360° views of the surrounding hills, the deep Ohře Valley, and the Doupov Mountains. The views of nature from the windows of this thoughtfully designed studio apartment never get old, and thanks to its south-facing orientation, it’s bathed in warm light for most of the day.

The largest unit on the top floor offers a truly exceptional design and floor plan. Exposed beams and a striking large-format window with impressive views of the countryside give the interior a completely unique character.
A word from the architect
The former school building caught my eye on my very first visit to Osvinov—it exuded the grandeur that our ancestors imbued it with. Its location in the center of the village, directly behind the chapel, its monumental scale compared to the other houses, massive brick walls, large windows arranged in a regular pattern, decorative details on the facade, massive cornices, strict symmetry, and stone staircase—all of this suggests the importance the building held for the village.
Our concept for converting the building into a residential property is rooted in respect for the original builders—it was enough to preserve all the building’s valuable elements and complement them with modern touches. As a reflection of contemporary architecture, a “peephole into the Ohře Valley” was created in the gable—a glass wall that defines the atmosphere of the largest attic residence and, in fact, the entire project.
The layout of each apartment meets the highest standards for a comfortable stay: the core of each apartment consists of a compact unit comprising the bathroom, kitchen, and closets, clad in panels with an oak veneer texture. The austerity of this built-in element is softened by details featuring an arch motif—a wooden niche with a mirrored cabinet in the entryway and bedrooms, the curved walls of the kitchen workspace, and the vaulted ceiling in the bathroom. The minimalist design of the built-in elements doesn’t detract from the grandeur of the original building. On the contrary, I believe its charm will also appeal to future residents.
