Flowering meadows, forests crisscrossed by streams and springs, and flora and fauna rarely found elsewhere. Add to that views of the extinct volcanoes of the Doupov Mountains and breathtaking vistas of valleys carved by the Ohře River over millions of years. All of this defines the character of the village of Osvinov in the Central Poohří region, on the border of the Nebesa National Nature Reserve. This unique natural paradise is just an hour and a half by car on the D7 highway from Prague and a few minutes’ drive from Karlovy Vary.
The Nebesa Residence is a boutique project consisting of five apartments for rent, created through the complete renovation of a former rural school. The building, which has managed to retain its original character, is equipped with modern eco-friendly features: a heat pump, solar panels, and an electric vehicle charger. The apartments are characterized by high-quality materials and meticulous craftsmanship, ensuring comfort and convenience.

Sports enthusiasts can enjoy cycling, mountain hiking, trail running, or activities on the Ohře River. Those who prefer a more leisurely pace can spend whole days admiring the fascinating natural surroundings and the horses grazing at the Racing Centre, built in Osvinov by Jan Faltejsek, six-time winner of the Velká pardubická steeplechase. There is a small nature-themed playground for children in the village.

The landscaped area surrounding the building creates a pleasant environment and provides parking spaces. Osvinov is a wonderful place for people of all ages. The thoughtfully designed spaces provide a comfortable setting for a variety of residents—whether you want to enjoy Osvinov’s peaceful atmosphere on your own or with the whole family. The largest unit on the top floor offers a truly exceptional design and floor plan. Exposed beams and a striking large-format window with impressive views of the countryside give the interior a completely unique character.
A word from the investor
My connection to Osvinov began with a search for an authentic location to house the Srdce Poohří Environmental Institute, which I founded together with the local Zamenis association. We found a former inn that was just perfect for our purposes, and I subsequently purchased the dilapidated school across the street as well—its distinctive architecture and location next to the chapel add to the village’s character. When I sought a way to breathe new life into its walls in harmony with the surrounding nature and our environmental activities, I opted for an unconventional concept of long-term rental housing.
I believe that at the Nebesa Residence, we will carry on the tradition of Czechoslovakia’s First Republic and offer lovers of unspoiled nature comfortable accommodations of the highest standard—without the hassles associated with owning a vacation home. In short, it’s an opportunity to rent freedom and time spent in a place with an authentic atmosphere.
